Baba Jaga | Independence Vistula Boat Maneuvers
We begin on November 11 at 10:30 a.m. on the Marina Warszawa barge, where you can take part in the ceremonial event Independence Maneuvers of Vistula Boats under white-and-red flags. This won’t be an ordinary sightseeing cruise, but rather a dance of boats on the river. The spectacle can be watched from the upper deck of Marina Warszawa or from the George Smith Patton Boulevard.
The maneuvers will be led by the commander of the leading vessel, from whose deck orders will be given to the other captains.
The boats Baba Jaga, Barbara, Maria, and Mistrz Wacław will present various formations, sailing in tight ranks and performing intricate maneuvers. The boats are covered and adapted to autumn weather, but we encourage you to dress appropriately – it’s always a bit cooler by the Vistula.
Cruises under the “Wisła District Navigation” program are organized by the Warsaw Greenery Authority.
